Ivan Ray Fuller, 54, passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2026, at Rex Hospital in Raleigh. Born on February 12, 1972, in Smithfield, he was the son of Cecil Ray Fuller and Lois Peterson Fuller. Ivan was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, John and Lucille Fuller; maternal grandparents, Harvey and Lula Peterson; and bonus son, Josh Strickland.

Ivan was a hardworking, giving man with a big heart and a deep love for his family. He was a man who believed in helping others, offering advice when it was needed, and being there for the people he cared about. Though he was known for having a short temper at times, those who knew him best also knew the kindness, loyalty, and love that lived within him. Family meant everything to Ivan. He cherished his loved ones and held a special place in his heart for his beloved granddaughter, who brought him immeasurable joy. He also devoted time and care to his parents, always doing what he could to help look after them. Ivan was more than a father to his own family. To many others, he was a father figure, someone they could turn to for guidance, honest advice, and a helping hand. 

Outside of family, Ivan found happiness in the simple things and in the friendships he built throughout his life. He enjoyed going to turkey shoots with his friends and his dad, spending time with his barn crowd, and being around his racing family. In his younger years, he drove dragsters, creating memories and friendships that remained a meaningful part of his life. He also shared a special bond with his beloved dog, Doodle, who held a special place in his heart. Though his absence leaves a space that can never truly be filled, the love he gave, the lessons he shared, and the memories he created will continue to live on.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 23, 2026, at 2:00pm, in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Price Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Thursday, October 22, 2026, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, at the funeral home.

Ivan is survived by his parents, Cecil Ray Fuller and Lois Peterson Fuller; daughter, Brittney Benson; granddaughter, Kenzie Ray Stanley; and girlfriend, Hope Whittington.
