Ina Crocker Norris, age 88, entered into the arms of her Savior on Monday, June 22, 2026, at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield. Born on October 14, 1937, in Johnston County, she was the daughter of the late Ina and George Crocker. In addition to her parents, Ina is preceded in death by her husband, Fred Earl Norris; daughter, Gail Cooke; son-in-law, John Cooke; and daughter-in-law, Pam Norris.

Ina was a devoted Christian whose faith guided her throughout her life. She dearly loved the Lord and her church family and was a longtime member of Wilson's Mills Church of God. For more than 40 years, she faithfully taught Sunday School, sharing God's love and wisdom with all who entered her classroom. Ina also spent many years babysitting for local families, caring for countless children as if they were her own. Nothing brought Ina greater joy than spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, especially during the holiday season. She collected salt and pepper shaker sets, buying them on trips and receiving them as gifts. Ina owned an estimate of over 500 sets. In her quieter moments, she enjoyed watching game shows, tending to her beautiful flowers, and delighting in the birds that came to visit. Ina will be remembered for her strong faith and loving heart.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, June 26, 2026, at 11:00am, at Wilson's Mills Church of God, with Bishop Larry W. Hunt officiating. Burial will follow at Hills of Neuse Memory Gardens. The family will receive visitors the night before the service, on Thursday, June 25, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00pm, at Parrish Funeral Home.

Ina is survived by her children, Billy Norris (Barbara), Jimmy Norris (Tina), Danny Norris, Vickie Norris, Sandy Norris, and Sharon Moore (Shane); grandchildren, Kelly, Jennifer, Carrie, Tracy, Stephanie, Jonathan, Julie, Brittany, Steven, Justin, Silas, and Sawyer; many great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild on the way.

Flowers are welcome or memorial donations can be made to Wilson's Mills Church of God at 4869 Wilsons Mills Rd, Smithfield, NC 27577, or online through PayPal to wmchurchofgod@yahoo.com.
