Hunter Blaine Philyaw “BBop,” 23, passed away peacefully July 22, 2026 surrounded by his family. He was born September 4, 2002 to Christopher and Wendy Philyaw. 

His late mother lovingly called him “our Angel on Earth.” His sweet spirit and pure heart brought his family so much joy. BBop was preceded in death by his loving mother Wendy Elizabeth Philyaw and his sister Heather Elizabeth Philyaw. 

In addition to his father, he is survived by his devoted brothers Brett Philyaw (wife Austin Sky), Blake Philyaw (fiancée Briyanna), Dustin Philyaw (Katelyn), as well as many loving aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins and extended family members that cherished him. The family will celebrate his life at a graveside service on Sunday July 26, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at Price Cemetery in Selma, NC.
