Heather Elizabeth Philyaw, age 32, passed away Thursday, January 11, 2024. Born May 15, 1991 in Johnston County she was the daughter of Christopher and Wendy Whitley Philyaw. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Carl and Joan Philyaw; and maternal grandparents, Billy and Mary Whitley. Heather was a member of Temple City Church in Selma.

Heather was a loving mother, sister and daughter. She loved to smile, loved to laugh, and loved her family with all her heart. She enjoyed cooking and anything crafty. She was a Caretaker by trade for her youngest brother, Blaine.

Surviving in addition to her parents are her sons, Bentley Hickey and Leighton Hickey; daughter, Brynlee Kate Philyaw; brothers, Dustin Philyaw (Krystal), Blake Philyaw, Brett Philyaw and Blaine Philyaw; nieces, Samantha Philyaw and Kaylee Philyaw; and nephew, Liam Philyaw, all of Princeton.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 20, 2024 in Temple City Church with Rev. Rodney Pearce officiating. Burial will follow in Price Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Saturday just prior to the service at the church.
