Harold "Wayne" Cross, age 80, of Selma, passed away on Tuesday, June 20, 2023. Wayne was born February 7, 1943, to the late Henry and Hazel Cross. He was preceded in death by his wife Cathy Strickland Cross. Wayne was a general contractor in Johnston and Wake Counties. He also worked as a superintendent for Comfort Homes for several years. Prior to that Wayne worked in the Tobacco industry. He was a member of United Faith Church in Selma.

The family will receive friends at Parrish Funeral Home on Saturday, June 24, 2023, from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with the burial to follow in Hatcher Family Cemetery.

Surviving are his daughter, Paige Wade and Husband Kevin Wade of Farmville, granddaughter, Sydney Wade of Farmville as well as his special friend, Amveline Locklear of Selma.
