Castalia – Gregory "Greg" Woodard Ward, age 55, passed away on Sunday, May 21, 2023, in his home of Castalia. Born, March 1, 1968, in Wake County, he was the son of Robert Ward and Betty Godwin Ward. Greg was a master carpenter and leaves behind a legacy of beautiful work in many different places. He loved his work and it showed. He was a loving husband to his wife Nancy Ward.

The family will receive friends at Parrish Funeral Home from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 25, 2023.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Hurley Ward, son, Brandon Pilkington; daughters, Jessica Ward of Wendell, Amanda Pilkington of Princeton, Brittany Ward of Bunn, Salina Woodall of Four Oaks, sister, Celeste Miller of Saegertown PA, niece, Bettina Baer (husband Michael) of Saegertown, PA, nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and his four beloved dogs at home.
