Clayton – Glenda Faye Dixon, age 80, died Sunday, October 15, 2017 in Smithfield Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Smithfield. Born February 1, 1937 in Johnston County she was a daughter of the late Royal Hunter and Lessie Thornton Dixon, Sr. She was preceded in death by her stepson, Jonathan Dixon.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 18, 2017 in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home with Rev. Earl Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Knollwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. Wednesday just prior to the service.

Surviving are her husband, Thomas Dixon of Clayton; son, Clifton Lacy Faircloth, Jr. of Greensboro; daughter, Susie Garner and husband Edward of Smithfield; stepdaughter, Michelle Jones and husband Mike of Goldsboro; brother, Royal Hunter Dixon, Jr. and wife Marvel of Clayton; sisters, Karon and husband Sherwood McLamb of Clayton and Sharon Blackmon and husband Wilson Earl of of Clayton;  grandchildren, Bradley Casey and Ashley McElroy and husband Ethan; and several nieces and nephews.
