George Walton Crocker, age 89, of Smithfield, passed away on August 23, 2023.  Born in Johnston County on March 29, 1934, he was the son of the late George and Ethel Boykin Crocker.  Walton operated Walton's Radio and TV in Pine Level for 56 years.  He was active in the Pine Level community for many years with the Fire Department, Cub Scout's and Lion's Club.  He was a member of the Pine Level Free Will Baptist Church.

Walton was preceded in death by his parents, his guardians Jessie and Gladys Johnson and a son Jessie Roberts Crocker.  He and his wife Ora Lou have lived in West Smithfield for several years since his retirement.

A graveside memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 12, at 10 am in Selma Memorial Gardens in Selma.

Surviving, in addition to his wife Ora Lou, are two sons, Walton Stephen Crocker of Smithfield and Joseph Hooks Crocker of Pine Level and a host of friends in West Smithfield.

The family will receive friends after the service on Tuesday.
