Florine Johnson Stanley, age 88, passed away on Monday, October 2, 2023 at Four Oaks Assisted Living Center. Born in Johnston County, on January 29, 1935, she was a daughter to the late Carlie F. Johnson and Kellie M. Allen.

Florine was a hard worker who always went above and beyond to help others. She was a great mom and loved her family dearly.

The family will receive friends at Parrish Funeral Home from 1-2:00 PM on Friday, October 6, 2023. The family will have a private burial in Selma Memorial Gardens.

In addition to her parents, Florine is preceded in death by her first husband, David Jacob, second husband, Bill William Oden, son, Johnny Stanley, sister, Linda Stanley, and brother, Thomas Johnson.

She is survived by her sons, Dennis Stanley of Clayton, David Stanley (Christine) of Delaware, and Christopher Stanley of Four Oaks; daughters, Wanda Hoskins (Lonnie) and Darine Peedin both of Clayton; sisters, Libby Langston of Four Oaks; Becky Ann Johnson of Four Oaks; Mavis Allen of Four Oaks; and Mabel Spencer of Smithfield; grandchildren, Kelly Bailey, Tina Anderson, Robby Peedin, Ashlie Stanley, Samantha Morris, Brent Stanley, and Brice Stanley; great grandchildren, Zane Anderson, Emma Anderson, Trent Stanley, Zachary Stanley, and Logan Peedin.
