Faye Rowe
Patterson
February 21, 1939 – May 31, 2023
Faye Rowe Patterson, age 84, passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at UNC Johnston Health in Clayton. Born in Johnston County on February 21, 1939, she was a daughter to the late James Boyd Rowe and Ettie Creech Rowe.
Faye was a member of First United Methodist Church in Pine Level, where she was also a part of the United Methodist Women and the choir. In addition to being involved in her church, Faye also loved the BSF group in Smithfield. She was the owner of Bill Patterson Trucking. In her free time, Faye enjoyed the beach, and gardening. Most of all, she loved and cared for her family dearly, and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was everyone's Nannie.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at First United Methodist Church in Pine Level. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 a.m 11:00 a.m. just prior to the service. Burial will follow in Selma Memorial Gardens next to her husband.
In addition to her parents, Faye is preceded in death by her husband, Bill Patterson, step-daughter, Sheree Murray (surviving husband Chris Murray of Clayton); brothers, Ray Rowe, Linwood Rowe (surviving wife Sylvia Rowe of Princeton), Dwight Rowe; sisters, Laura Jones, Hilda Raper; grandchildren, Byron Murray and Tyler Vann Peedin.
Faye is survived by her daughter, Gloria Wagner and husband Bob of Smithfield; son, Alvin Peedin and wife Pam of Smithfield; step-daughters, Regina Sato and husband Cary of Winston Salem, Sabrina Patterson and husband Keith Harrison of La Grange, Sonya Woodard and husband Ernie of Princeton; sisters, Gertrude Narron of Princeton and Ann Abel of Goldsboro; grandchildren, Drew Wagner and wife Kristen of Clayton; Adam Peedin and wife Katlyn of Princeton; Matthew Peedin and wife Adriana of Princeton; Allie McLeod and husband Taylor of Newport; step-grandchildren, Amanda Arnold and husband Matthew of Clayton; Nina Duff and husband Tyler of Wilmington; Colby Sato of Charlotte; Kinsey Sato of Charlotte; Zachary Woodard of Princeton; Tanner Woodard of Princeton; great grandchildren, Banks Peedin, Brinleigh Wagner, and Brooks McLeod.
