Elsie Brown Collier, 92, of Selma, passed away Thursday, June 5, 2025, at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield. Born December 11, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Artis Ervin Brown and Zela Brantham Brown.

Elsie was born and raised in Johnston County. She graduated from the Wilson School of Nursing and worked as a nurse for over 30 years before retiring. Elsie enjoyed taking care of others, both in her career and in her home. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Elsie is survived by her children, Michael Brown Collier, Denise Collier Stanly (Mike), and Ann Collier Stafford (Tony); grandchildren, Garrett Stanly, Jennifer Godwin, Brooke Sykes, Chase Collier, Trey Burnette, and Curtis Burnette; and 8 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held Friday, June 13, at 11:00am, at Selma Memorial Gardens. Flowers are appreciated.
