Garner – Elizabeth passed peacefully away to be with her Lord on July, 3 2022.

Elizabeth graduated from Princeton High School in June, 1958. Had business courses at Crumplers Business School in Goldsboro, graduating in 1959.

Hired by Gurley's Inc, Selma NC she worked as office manager for 23 years. Then went to work for the N.C Department of Public Instruction in Raleigh for 17 years working with Vocational Education, retiring November 1, 2000 totaling 40 + years of employment.

Elizabeth worked with the young children teaching under the leadership of Dr. Larry Withrow in the Garner Advent Christian Church along with her husband.

A funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home on Thursday July 7, 2022 at 2 PM with Rev. Kevin Drake officiating. The family will receive visitors at Parrish Funeral Home on Thursday from 1 PM to 2 PM. Burial will follow the service in Hepzibah Baptist Church Cemetery.

Elizabeth was the daughter of Jacob and Iona King of Johnston County. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Max Keene of Garner; her son, Hunter Weaver of Smithfield; stepson, Tim Keene and wife Stephanie, their children, Jordan and Logan Keene; great grandchild, Cade Selph; brother, Junior King of Smithfield.

She is preceded in death by two brothers, Joe and Jerry King.

Elizabeth was raised in the Hepzibah Baptist Church and due to career, moved to the Garner area and joined the Garner Advent Christian Church.
