Smithfield- Elizabeth Ann Britt Allen, age 82, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, in her home of Smithfield. Born, April 11, 1942 in Sampson County, she was a daughter of the late William A. Britt and Magdalene Westbrook Britt. She is preceded in death by her husband of 34 years William "Bill Will" David Allen and her sister Marlene B. Sutton. Ann was a member of North Smithfield Baptist Church for many years and always played an active role in the church and its ministries. She was an excellent cook and also a wonderful homemaker. Ann also enjoyed working in her flower beds and around her home. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home in Selma with the burial to follow in Pinecrest Memorial Park in Clayton. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Parrish Funeral Home in Selma.

She is survived by her sons; David Allen (Kathy) of Clayton, Greg Allen (Renee) of Selma, brothers; Billy Britt, Bobby Britt and Floyd Britt all of Micro, sisters, Jewel Hines of Smithfield, Linda Smith of Smithfield, Betty Howell of Micro, grandchildren, Dani Allen, Will Allen, Dayna Allen, Chase Allen, three great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to give special thanks to all her close friends and caretakers for all their help and support during this difficult time.
