Shoeheel - Eddie Ray Creech, age 70, passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, surrounded by his family, in his home of Shoeheel. Born, April 9, 1953, in Johnston County, he was a son of Donald Ray Creech and Margie Jane Creech. He is preceded in death by his father, Donald Ray Creech and brother, Donnie Lee Creech. Eddie was a member of Bethany Missionary Baptist Church for many years. He served his country faithfully in the United States Army. Eddie was a lifelong farmer in the Shoeheel community. He was a loving husband, son, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He will be missed by all his family and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Bethany Missionary Baptist Church in Kenly, with the burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, March 25, 2024, from 6:00 -8:00 p.m. at Parrish Funeral Home in Selma.

In addition to his mother, Margie Creech, he is survived by his loving wife, Ruth Creech, sons; Timmy Creech and wife Roxie of Shoeheel, Chris Creech of Shoeheel, William Creech of Shoeheel, daughter, Stacey Chapman of AZ, brother, James Carter of Clayton; grandchildren, CJ Creech, Bryson Creech, Graceson Creech, Landen Creech, Rylee Creech and Darrell Howard, great-grandson, Weston Creech, uncle, Ronnie Creech and aunt Jean Creech, sister-in-law, Jackie Creech, nephews; Donnie Lynn Creech , Gilliam Creech , Bradley Creech and great-niece, little Susie.
