Smithfield – E. Floyd Smith, age 93, passed away Friday, January 21, 2022, at UNC Johnston Health in Smithfield. He was born in Nash County on October 31, 1928 to the late Elijah and Minnie Joyner Smith. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by wife, Flossie Mae Smith; brothers, Troy, Coy, Grady, Jack, Daniel and Irving Smith; sisters, Leetha Rowe, Katherine Catlett, Ruth Joyner and Ora Edwards.

A private graveside service will be conducted on Wednesday January 26, 2022, in St Mary's Grove OFW Baptist Church Cemetery.

He is survived by caregiver of many years, Scotty Casey; sister-in-law's, Mae Smith, Jean Smith and Linda Smith; brother, Shelton Smith; niece, Judy Poland.

Mr. Smith was a member of Lanwood Chapel OFWB Church and pastored numerous churches for over 50 years. He was a faithful servant of the Lord.
