Princeton – Douglas Wren Massey, age 71, passed away Sunday August 17, 2025 at Barbour Court Nursing and Rehab. He was born in Johnston County on July 13, 1954 to the late Wilbert Franklin Massey and Mellie Evans Massey. In addition to his father and mother he is also preceded in death by his wife, Rita Holloman Massey; brothers, Gordon Lee Massey and Wilbert Franklin Massey Jr.;

A graveside service will be held in Evans Mckeel cemetery on Thursday August 21, 2025 at 10:00 AM. The family will receive visitors at the cemetery on Thursday from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM.

Mr. Massey is survived by his nephews, Ronnie and Donnie Massey as well as numerous cousins.
