Doris Thompson Peedin – "Mudder" – 94, of Selma died Wednesday July 24, 2019 at SECU Hospice House. She was a daughter of the late Ira Lee and Betty Braswell Thompson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband David Alvin Peedin; sisters, Blanche Sellers (Elrie), C. J. Strickland (Randall), Pauline Weeks (Jeff), and Ola Mae Pearce (Mac). Mrs. Peedin was a seamstress with Princeton Manufacturing, and she also worked with CynMar Greenhouses.

Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 PM on Friday, July 26, 2019 in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home in Selma. Interment will follow in A. W. Peedin Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM prior to the funeral.

Surviving are: son, Lee Peedin and wife Brenda of Selma; daughter, Jean Thompson and husband Sherrill of Smithfield; grandchildren, Tim Thompson and wife Kathleen of Selma, Leighanna Worley of Princeton, Sonya Kuropatwa of Atlanta, Ga., Jennifer Peedin of Selma; great grandchildren, Jessica Worley of Brooklyn, NY, Naomi Kuropatwa of Atlanta, Ga, David Alcy Price of Selma, Michael Giggey of Mount Holly, Preston Thompson of Selma; great great grandchild, MacKenzie Beverly Giggey of Mount Holly; sisters-in-law, Hazel Peedin of Selma, Shirley Sellers of Pine Level; Fur Family, Abby, Copper, Zoey, and Gretel.
