Donna Kay Fulkerson, 68, of Smithfield, passed away December 23, 2024, at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh. Born October 14, 1956, in Durham, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Charlotte Barbour. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Tara Adcox; sister, Debbie Writz; and brother, Doug Barbour.

Donna was a free spirit. She loved fishing and riding horses. Donna enjoyed taking her husband on adventures to experience new things. She loved shopping. Donna cherished the time spent with her grandchildren and the memories they made together. She was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother who will be greatly missed.

Donna is survived by her husband of over 20 years, Dewey "Bo" Fulkerson; daughters, Angela Porter and Brandy White (Joshua White); son, Jeremy Fulkerson (Carrie Fulkerson); brother, Phillip Barbour; sisters, Paula Jackson and Phylis Barbour; and seven grandchildren, Anastasia Tullos, Taylor Tullos, Quinn White, Jessica Pearce, Kenneth Pearce, Andrew Fulkerson, and Georgia Fulkerson.

A funeral to service will be held Thursday, January 9, 2024, at 10:00am in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home in Selma with burial to follow at Hills of the Neuse Cemetery in Four Oaks. A visitation will take place the evening prior, on Wednesday, January 8, 2024, from 6:00pm-8:00pm at the funeral home. Flowers are appreciated.
