Donna Eason Donovan, age 61, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 17th, 2024. Born, August 7, 1962, she was the daughter of Gilliam Eason and Shirley Eason of Smithfield, NC.

Surviving her death are her husband, William Michael Donovan, her sons, Michael and Kevin Donovan, her daughters-in-law, Mary and Holly Donovan, grandchildren; Alyssa Donovan, Ford Donovan, Olivia Donovan, Gavan Donovan, Bianca Donovan, and Emberly Donovan, sister Gail Spivey and Dana Powell, brothers-in-law Bentley Powell and Junior Spivey.

Donna had a passion for serving children and will leave a legacy. Being a Teacher Assistant at West Smithfield, Donna loved to teach, mentor, and support children in the classroom. Having a calling for Christ centered teachings, Donna then went into the Children's Ministry at First Baptist Church. Kids at First Baptist After School Care and Summer Adventures loved her kind and loving spirit. They always looked forward to morning devotions, fun field trips, and exciting lessons. They will never forget how Mrs. Donna loved and supported them unconditionally.

Funeral services for family and friends will be held at The Bridge of Smithfield (951 M Durwood Stephenson Pkwy, Smithfield, NC 27577) on Tuesday, January 23rd at 3:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to First Baptist Church After School Care Program (202 S. Fourth St., Smithfield, NC 27577).
