Don Starling, 76, of Clayton, formerly of Smithfield, passed away after a long illness on March 9, 2024.  Don was born on February 13, 1948 in Smithfield, NC to the late Rudolph and Ruby Starling. He was also preceded in death by his brother Walter (Dick) Starling.  He is survived by his loving wife Marie Lee Starling, his  daughter, Chan Starling Hales (Tooie) of Kenly, his son Chance Starling (Natasha) of Clearwater, Florida and four grandchildren, Holden, Gabby and Wyatt Hales of Kenly and Winter Starling of Clearwater, Florida.

Don was a plumber by trade a lot more to other people. He never hesitated to help ANYONE in need. He loved his family, his friends, his dog T-Bone, cooking, the beach and his wife Marie.

A visitation will be held at Parrish Funeral Home on Thursday, March 14 from 5-7 pm.
