Selma- Donald Parrish, age 70, died at home Thursday afternoon surrounded by his family. Born July 9, 1941 in Johnston County he was a son of the late Shepard and Edith Massengill Parrish. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Donna Parrish McKelvey and several brothers and sisters. Mr. Parrish had been an insurance adjuster since 1966 and started his own business in 1989.A private burial will be held in the New Jerusalem Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery. Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Josephine "Jo" Hill Parrish of the home; daughters, Melody Baird, Cheryl Ricks and husband Chris, all of Princeton, and Becky Parrish of Goldsboro; brother Harvey Seba Parrish of Clayton; and grandchildren, Keelan Baird, Tanner Baird, Tyler Ricks, and Emily Ricks. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 9, 2012 at Parrish Funeral Home.
