Donald Wayne Cannada, 81, passed away on Friday, April 25, 2025, at his home in Selma. Born June 25, 1942, in Durham, he was the son of the late Warren Cannada and Lillie Cannada. In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his sons, Robert Cannada and Warren Joseph; and granddaughter, Heather Philyaw.

Donald was a hard-working man. He worked in roofing, starting at 14 years old, up until his retirement. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be missed by his family dearly. Donald was known for being a "sweet old man" and "one of the best."

Donald is survived by his wife of 63 years, Glenda Parnell; sons, Donald Cannada Jr. (Sheri) and Jeffery Cannada; and 9 grandchildren, Tyler, Cassidy, Katie, Anna, Rachel, Ryan, Alisa, Cody, and Dustin.

Per his wishes, there will be no public services for Donald at this time.
