Dennis W. Parrish, age 80, of Princeton, passed away on July 22, 2023, at Countryside Village in Pikeville, after a long, hard fight with dementia. He was a beloved Husband, Father, Granddaddy, Great-Granddaddy, Father in-law, Brother, Uncle, and Friend. Mr. Parrish was born in Johnston County on October 22, 1942, to the late Wilbert A. Parrish and Ethel Rose Parrish. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Melda Parker.

Dennis never met a stranger, had a mischievous smile, and was always willing and wanting to help anyway he could. If you ever needed a "let's go" partner, he was your man. He was especially fond of his family, spending as much time as he possibly could with them, right until the end. Mr. Parrish leaves behind his wife of 44 years, Mrs. Lena E. Parrish, Daughters, Lisa P. Johnson (Allen), Denise P. House (Michael), Son, Allan Parrish (Erin), 6 Grandchildren, Jamie Johnson (Bridget), Christy Johnson (Ryan Scalf), Jordan House, Josh House (Heather Howard), Spencer and Jase Parrish as well as 2 Great-Grandchildren, Devin and Taylar Johnson, Sister, Jean Creech (Ronnie), and many Nieces and Nephews.

A visitation for family and friends will take place on Monday, July 24, 2023, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Parrish Funeral Home in Selma. A grave side service will be held on Tuesday, July 25, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. in the Bizzell Grove Memorial Gardens.
