In Loving Memory of Denise Hogue Lee

Denise Hogue Lee, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away July 24, 2025, at the age of 75 at her home in Rincon, Georgia. She leaves behind her love of flowers, crafts, making jewelry, and creating with her hands. But most of all, she leaves behind the tremendous love she had for her family.

Born and raised in Selma, North Carolina, Denise graduated from Selma High School with the Class of 1967, and attended East Carolina University and Hardbarger Business College.

Denise married her soulmate, Harold Lee, with whom she shared 55 wonderful years of partnership, laughter, and tears, along with an unconditional love. Together, they built a life filled with love and dedication to each other and their family.

She is survived by her husband Harold, children, Jenny Bass (Joe), Amy Malmrose, Brian Lee (Nora), nephew Riley Hogue, and six grandchildren (Tyler, Parker, Cameron, Emily, Brandon, and Celia), each of whom carries forward her generosity, wisdom, and dry sense of humor, as well as her desire to help others. She is also survived by her sister, Gail Pernell, who resides in North Carolina.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Dixie Hogue, and her sister, Tara Hogue.

To those who knew Denise, she was dedicated to whatever she was doing — whether through her many years of work in the floral business or creating a beautiful piece of jewelry from scratch.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the near future. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice of Savannah, honoring Denise's lifelong commitment to helping others.

Her spirit will remain in every story shared, every laugh that echoes, and every heart she held.
