Debra House Watkins, 71, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 15, 2025, at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield. Born November 25, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Rudolph and Drucilla House. In addition to her parents, Debra is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Ray Watkins; son, Billy Ray Watkins; and sister, Sharron House Stafford.

Debra worked alongside her husband, vending at the Brightleaf Flea Market for 25 years. She was a loving Mother and Grandmother. Debra was extremely devoted to her family, always putting them in the forefront of her mind.

Debra is survived by her son, Donald Jason Watkins; daughter, Tina Watkins Powell; brothers, Michael House (Denise) and Gary House; sister, Donna House Pilkington (George); grandchildren, Brandy Powell, Tyler Powell, and Reece Watkins; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will take place on Sunday, October 19, 2025, from 1:00pm-1:45pm at Parrish Funeral Home in Selma. A graveside service will follow at 2:00pm at Selma Memorial Gardens. Flowers are appreciated.
