Debra Icenhour Fivek, age 69, passed away peacefully on January 15, 2026, at Meadowview Assisted Living, Smithfield, NC.  She had been in declining health for several years.

Debbie was born August 12, 1956, in Raleigh, NC.  She was a daughter of Parks Hal Icenhour and Florence McClellan Icenhour, who predeceased her.

She was a graduate of Millbrook High School and earned her Associate Degree at Wake Technical Community College.  Her work life included service as a police officer and various positions in manufacturing and construction.

She has been reunited in death with Rick Barbour, her longtime partner and the love of her life.

She is survived by her son, Jaye McClellan of Killeen, Texas (Rhiannon), her daughter Angela Fivek of Angier, her grandchildren (Lexi, Allysn, Syvanna, Ollie, Megan and Amarissa), numerous nieces and nephews, and brothers Parks (Lorrie) and Dan, and sisters Brenda Grabowski, Dell Hawkins (John), Anita Icenhour (John), and Chris Leary (Jen).

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.  The family will hold a private inurnment.

The family would like to thank the staff at Meadowview for their loving care of Debbie, and the many residents of Meadowview who were her friends.  Also, a special thanks to 3HC Hospice who eased her transition.
