Danny Keith Starling, age 73, passed away on Thursday, November 2, 2023, at his home in Selma. Born in Johnston County on October 27, 1950, he was a son to the late Sam and Lillian Starling.

Danny was a faithful member of Johnston Community Church in Selma. He worked as an electrician with The Department of Public Safety for many years. He was a skilled handyman and enjoyed helping anyone in need.

A funeral service will be held in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home at 11:00 am on Wednesday, November 8, 2023. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 am, just prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Starling Family Cemetery.

In addition to his parents, Danny is preceded in death by brothers, Lester Ray Starling, Robert "Bobby" Starling, Sam Starling Jr., and sisters, Hilda S. Lee and Peggy S. Johnson.

He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Pam Howell Starling of Selma; daughter, Karen Starling of Coats; son, Joseph Daniel Starling of Atlantic Beach; brother, Jerry Starling (Debbie) of Smithfield; sister, Susan Teffeteller (Spencer) of Angier, and many loving nieces and nephews.
