Danny Earl Daughtry, age 77, passed away Saturday, July 27, 2024 in the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield. Born February 14, 1947 in Johnston County he was a son of the late Richard and Alice Mills Daughtry. He was preceded in death by a brother, Mac Daughtry. Danny proudly served his country in the United States Marines Corp. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Smithfield and American Legion Post 132 in Smithfield.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, August 1, 2024 in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home with Rev. Kristen Tucker officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. Thursday just prior to the service at the funeral home.

Surviving are his wife, Theresa Dianne Daughtry; children, Tammy Tysons, Danny Jr. Daughtry and wife Patricia, Gela Daughtry, Jeff Daughtry, Clifton Daniels and wife Renee, and Tracy McClure and husband Robby; brothers, Richard "Tom" Daughtry, Jr. and wife Patsy and James Larry Daughtry; sisters, Carolyn Wade and husband Jim and Alice Corbett; fifteen grandchildren; and thirteen great grandchildren.
