Daniel Stephen Womack, age 67, passed away on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at his home in Clayton. Born on December 10, 1956, in Columbia, SC, Daniel was the beloved son of the late Hester Womack and Julia Black Womack. He was also preceded in death by his brother, David Womack Sr., and a nephew, David Womack Jr.

Daniel is survived by his sister, Missy Womack (Andre) of Clayton, and his favorite cousin, Theresa Boyce (Jeff) of Bahama, NC. He leaves behind nephews Jonathan and Joshua Womack, Lochlan (Harley), and Liam McFatter; nieces Whitney Womack (Nick), and Juliann McFatter; cousins Kelsey Stamps (Tristen) and Kamryn Boyce; great nieces Athena and Cecilia McFatter, Cheyanne and Lily Womack, Hayden Noreault; and great nephew Mason Noreault.

A devoted member of Johnston Union Church in Clayton, Daniel was very active in the church community. He was a familiar face at church functions, especially the softball games, where he was known as their biggest supporter. Daniel was also involved with the children's church. He had a passion for all things Christmas and was known for his enthusiasm in decorating for the holiday season. He loved gospel music and Elvis, and he never met a stranger, enjoying long conversations with people of all ages.

The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at Johnston Union Church from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM in the church. Burial will take place in the church cemetery.
