In Loving Memory of Dan Golden
Daniel Vernon Golden, 58, of Fuquay Varina, North Carolina, passed away on Monday, May 12, 2025. Dan was born December 2, 1966, in San Bernardino, California, to Eugene William Golden and Chelsea Smith Golden.

Dan grew up in Central Florida and graduated from Oviedo High School in 1985. He enlisted in the U. S. Army right after graduation and served honorably and proudly for three years. Dan was a talented salesman and was a North Carolina real estate broker for years. Since 2023, he also  worked at the Cabela's store in Garner as a boat salesman.

An avid outdoorsman, Dan loved the wilderness, camping, fishing and hunting, and four-wheeling. Dan had a great love and way with all animals, greatly missing his last beloved dog Kronk, and enjoyed spending time with friends and family.

Dan is survived by his fiancée Susanne Best, his mother Chelsea Golden, his father Eugene Golden, his three children Leah Baucom and husband David Baucom, Danny Golden, and Isaac Golden, his grandchildren Wyatt, William, and Elowyn, his sister and brother Teresa Gong and Eugene Golden, his ex-wife Linda Golden, as well as niece and nephews, grand nieces and nephew, and many close friends.

Services will be conducted on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at Underwood Funeral Home in Smithfield, North Carolina, with visitation beginning at 1:00 PM and funeral service at 2:00 PM officiated by Reverend Denton White. Graveside service will follow at Riverside Cemetery.
