Cornelius "Neal" Francis Brantley, Sr., age 84, passed away Wednesday, August 21, 2024 at his home. Born June 22, 1940 in Wayne County, Michigan he was a son of the late Grady Reynolds Brantley and Frances Melva Chappell Brantley. He was preceded in death by a son, Larry Brantley; brothers, Bill Brantley, Dwight Brantley and Allen Brantley; and sister, Ann Burns.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 26, 2024 in Old Hillside Cemetery, 323 Washington Avenue, Laurinburg, NC 28352. A Celebration of Life will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 7, 2024 in Discovery Church, 5586 Covered Bridge Road, Archer Lodge, NC 27527. The family will receive friends following the service at 2:00 p.m.

Surviving are his wife, Diane Hearn Brantley; children, Cornelius "Neal" Brantley, Jr. and wife Grace of Efland, Johnette Elizabeth Brantley of Chapel Hill, James William Brantley and wife Kimberly of Clayton, Margaret Ellen Vaughan and husband Bill of Archer Lodge and Charles Vance Brantley and wife Tricia Ann of Raleigh; grandchildren, Eric, Douglas, Audrey, Mollie, Iain, Tabitha, Emilee, Grady Earl, Jacob, Charlotte and Hannah; great grandchildren, Raegan, Logan, Jackson, Nick-Nick and one great grandchild due in March; brother, Stuart Farber and wife Donna of Michigan; and sister, Sheila Cunningham and husband John of Alexandria, VA.
