Kenly – Cora Ann Pipkin, age 84, died at the home of her daughter on February 26, 2022. She was born in Wayne County to the late Edgar Allen and Vera Beasley Pipkin.  In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Minshew; an infant son; brothers, Robert Pipkin, Edgar Allen "Junebug" Pipkin Jr., Jerry Pipkin, Eugene "Droopy" Pipkin and J.D. Pipkin.

Cora Ann loved working in her yard and in the garden. She loved her flowers but loved her family most of all.  She was the best cook in Johnston County and if you don't believe that just ask her nieces and nephews.  She also enjoyed spending time with her elders, listening to stories of the past.

A funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home at 3 PM on Wednesday, March 2, 2022. The family will receive visitors at Parrish Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2 PM to 3 PM as well as other times at her daughter's home. Burial will follow the service in Kenly Cemetery.

She is survived by her daughter, Sarah Ann Lee and husband Wayne of Smithfield; sister, Mary Alice Freeman of Pine Level; brothers, Chester Pipkin and wife Meg of Willow Spring, Tommy Pipkin and wife Kathy of Micro and her grandson, Joey Lee and fiancé Melissa.
