Smithfield – Clifton Ivery Daughtry, age 84, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday November 28, 2023. He was born in Johnston County to the late Daniel Ivery Daughtry and Sadie Worley Daughtry. In addition to his father and mother, he is also preceded in death by a brother, JA Daughtry and a brother in law, Rex Johnson.

The family will receive visitors in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home on Friday December 1, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM on Saturday December 2, 2023 at Johnston Union FWB Church in Clayton. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.

He is survived by his son, Barry Daughtry of Smithfield; daughter, Amy Atkinson and husband Jason of Selma; the mother of his children, Louise Daughtry; sister, Betty Johnson of Smithfield; sister in law, Lois Daughtry; grandchildren, Lani and Ryker Atkinson.

Mr. Daughtry was a member of Johnston Union FWB Church in Clayton and also attended Faith OFWB Church in Four Oaks. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and traveling to Surf City.
