Clarence Ray "Pete" Hill, age 94, passed away Wednesday, May 24, 2023  at UNC Johnston Health in Clayton. Born in Wake County on August 23, 1928 he was a son of the late Jimmie Lee and Hattie Carlina Hill.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Hill; and his grandson, Thomas Hughes.

Pete is survived by his stepsons, Tommy and Mark Hughes of Clayton; stepdaughters, Debra Nutt of Raleigh and Teresa Hughes of Clayton; grandchildren, Kyle Stanley, Carrie Nutt, Chris Hughes, Hunter Hughes, and Chadley Hughes; and great grandchildren, Harper Hughes, Royce Claire Hughes, Barrett Hughes, Jake Hughes, and Colt Hughes.

There will be no formal services at this time.
