Clarence Edward Bass, age 79, passed away on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at his home in Selma.

Born in Robeson County, on October 15, 1943, he was a son to the late Graddy Bass and Sally Jane Ford.

Clarence was a member of New Jerusalem Church in Kenly. He loved his church and his church family. Clarence also loved dogs and had many throughout his life. He loved his family and his grandchildren dearly.

The family will have a memorial service at New Jerusalem Church at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, October 8, 2023. His urn will be buried in the church cemetery.

In addition to his parents, Clarence is preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Coleman Bass, and sister, Azliee Bass.

Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Geneva Bass of Selma; sons, James Bass (Wendy) of Princeton and Jerry Bass of Selma; grandchildren, Josh Bass, Bailey Bass, Molly Bass, Zoe Bass, Sally Bass; great grandchildren, Landon Bass, Mary-Kate Bass, Olivia Bass, Colin Bass, and Noah Bass.
