Princeton – Christine Pennell Braswell Bartlett, age 89, passed away peacefully Sunday April 7, 2024 at UNC Health Wayne in Goldsboro. She was born in Johnston County on May 5, 1934 to the late Norman Edgar Pennell and Martha Anderson Pennell. In addition to her father and mother, she is also preceded in death by two husbands, Bobby Braswell, and David Bartlett; son, Ricky Braswell and Edward Braswell; brothers, Troy Pennell, Berlon Pennell, and Floyd Pennell; sisters, Valley Jones, Flora Stewart, Estelle Pearce; granddaughter, Jennifer Crawford.

A funeral service will be held in the chapel of Parrish funeral home on Wednesday April 10, 2024 at 11:00 AM with pastor Dennis Pollock officiating. Burial will follow the service on Wednesday in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery in Goldsboro.

She is survived by her son, Kenneth Braswell and wife Norma of Four Oaks; daughter, Sheila Parrish and husband Jeff of Princeton; sister, Alberta Little of Conover, Naomi Woodard of Roanoke Rapids, Geraldine Strickland of Kenly; daughter-in-law, Ellen Grice; grandchildren, Chris Braswell, Josh Bragg, Bryan Smith, Chad Braswell, Crystal Norton, Nicole Wiler, Pam Berry; great grandchildren, Brett Braswell, Brooke Braswell, Rebecca Crawford, Lydia Wiler, Gracie Wiler, Megan Wiler, Samuel Berry, Matthew Berry, Jordan Bragg; special fur baby, "Spot".

Many people will remember Christine for her love of dancing.
