Charles Johnson Stanley (January 14, 1949-March 11, 2025)

Charles Johnson Stanley, 76, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2025, at UNC Johnston Health. A proud Navy Seal veteran, he was dedicated to his country and to those he loved. His strength, kindness, compassion, and sense of humor will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.

Beyond his military service, he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He found his greatest joy in family, Jesus, coffee, and spending time with his loved ones. He also had excellent carpentry skills and was always willing to share his skill and talent helping those in need. Whether helping others, sharing stories of his life, or simply enjoying time with his family, he left an incredible mark on the Iives he touched.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Betty Stanley; sister, Faye Stanley Rains; brothers, W.C. Stanley, Earl Stanley, and Keith Stanley

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Stanley; brother, Donnie Stanley; daughter, Dawn Stanley; son, Donnie Stanley (Lisa); grandchildren, Cricia Burress, Alyssa Stanley, Kristian Stanley and great-grandchildren, Kaya Hamilton, Carter McLamb, and Caleb McLamb. He also leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, extended family, and good friends who will miss him dearly.

Per his wishes, no services will be held. He preferred his family and loved ones to take comfort in knowing he is at peace and celebrating in heaven.

He will always be in our hearts!!!
