Smithfield – Charles (Charlie) Bryant Garner Jr., age 67, passed away peacefully on Friday June 2, 2023 at Smithfield Manor Nursing Home. He was born in Johnston County on August 10, 1955 to the late Charles Garner Sr., and Alice Hall Garner.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

He is survived by son, Jacob Garner of Smithfield; sister, Teresa Hathaway of Florida; caregiver, Evelyn Hughes of Smithfield.

Mr. Garner was a United States Navy Veteran and loved going to family cook outs and telling stories.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Parrish Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses.
