Cenovia Abreu, age 84, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Wednesday, February 14, 2024. She was born on January 30, 1940, in the Dominican Republic.  She was a daughter of Jose Tavares and Ana Patricia Abreu.

Surviving are her daughters, Annie Valle and husband Dondi Valle of Selma; daughter, Odenis Abreu of Larchmont, NY; sister, Bienvenida Peralta and husband Jose Rafael Peralta of Dominican Republic; sister, Miriam Espinal of Bronx, NY; grandchildren, Miranda Valle Fairclough and husband Jayden Fairclough of Selma; Donovan Valle and Nicholas Valle of Selma, and two great grandchildren.

A private family service will be held at the Parrish Funeral Home in Selma, NC.
