It is with deep sorrow and much love that on Friday, September 19th of 2025, our beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, Cecil Berry Heavner of Smithfield, North Carolina passed away at the age of 82 years. He was born on June 28th of 1943 to the late Mary Marie Rae and Charles Olen Heavner Sr. in Smithfield, North Carolina. In addition to his parents, Cecil was predeceased by his brother, Charles Heavner Jr., and an infant son.

He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by his daughter, Kalyn and her husband Alan Jarvis; grandchildren, Kallie and Berry Jarvis (significant other Kelsey Hale); great-granddaughter, Lucille Jarvis; brother, Daniel and his wife Lisa Heavner; and his significant other Wendy Adams, as well as numerous relatives and friends.

Cecil was a successful business man with a lifetime of knowledge and stories to tell, there was never a dull moment with him around. To know him, was to love him. He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered for the care and compassion he shared with all.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, September 29, 2025, at 2:00pm in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home. The family will receive visitors one-hour prior to the service, beginning at 1:00pm.
