Clayton - Cathy Olive Daniels, age 65, passed away on Thursday, May 27, 2021, in her home in Clayton. She was born on June 3, 1955, a daughter of the late James and Maxine Olive in Johnston County. She is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Daniels, brother, Bill Olive, sister, Betty Olive, and nephew, Phillip Olive. She was a member of Clement Primitive Baptist Church in Four Oaks, which she loved dearly, she also attended Little Creek Primitive Baptist Church. She enjoyed sitting on her porch, watching birds, and looking at her garden. Prior to her recent decline in health, she enjoyed riding horses, camping, traveling, collecting pig figurines, and she loved drinking caffeine-free Pepsi Cola. Most importantly she loved her family and spending time with all of them.

A graveside service will be conducted on Tuesday, June 1, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. in Knollwood Memorial Park in Clayton, the family will receive friends on Saturday, May 29, 2021, from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Parrish Funeral Home in Selma.

She is survived by her brothers, James "Tip" Olive (Donna) of Clayton, Martin Olive (Marsha) of Smithfield, Ronnie Olive (Trisha) of Clayton, Craig Olive of Clayton, sister, Terry Nichols (Bruce) of Clayton, Angela Olive of Goldsboro, nephews, Mark Olive (Karen), Monty Olive, Anthony Ellis (Tonya), Justin Ellis (Dawn), Keith Olive (Amanda), nieces, Amber Stephenson (Jon), Rhonda Olive, Kristy Murray, Amanda Johnson (James), great-nephews and nieces, Cody, Taylor, Sarah, Dylan, Aiden, Asa, Avery, Hannah, Shane, Cali, Eric, Kacee, Mason, Cambree, and Gus.

The family would like to give special thanks to her caregiver Mrs. Charlotte Parrish.
