Carolyn Wade Norris Peedin, age 82, passed away on Friday, August 11, 2023, at Classic Care Home in Smithfield. Born on June 15, 1941, in Johnston County, she was a daughter to the late Wade Jerald Norris and Mabel Carroll Norris.

Carolyn was a fun, spunky, and feisty woman. She was a very loyal person who would do anything in the world for those that she loved. Carolyn adored her granddaughter Lauren, who called her Nanny and enjoyed making choreographed dances with her to perform for the rest of the family. She loved plants, dogs, butterflies, and shopping for antiques.

A memorial service will be held in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home at 11:00 A.M on Monday, August 14, 2023. The family will receive friends from 10-11:00 A.M. just prior to the service.

Carolyn is survived by her husband, Dwight Herman Peedin of Sanford; son, Jeff Weaver and wife Patricia of Selma, and granddaughter, Lauren Weaver of Selma.
