Selma – Carolyn Moore Knisley, age 77, passed Saturday December 26, 2020 at UNC Johnston Health in Smithfield. She was born in Franklin County on March 27, 1943 to the late Robert and Thelma Coppedge Moore. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by first husband, Ewell M. Moore, second husband, Charlie Tharington Sr., third husband, Robert "Bob" Knisley; a daughter, Miranda Susan Moore; a brother, Robert Moore. A graveside service will be conducted on Saturday January 2, 2021 at 2 PM in Sardis Baptist Church cemetery. Mrs. Knisley is survived by sons, Randall "Randy" Moore of Selma, Garry Dewayne Moore of Louisburg; daughter, Leana Moore Allen of Richlands; sisters, Alice Crumb of Cape Cartaret, Nancy Hill of Spring hope, Janice M. Prince of Louisburg; grandchildren, Ryan Boykin of Smithfield, Lorenzo Gore of Wilson, Michael Vazquez of Selma, Randall Diego Moore of Selma, Joshua Moore of Selma, Gertrude Kidwell of Wilson; 4 great grandchildren. Mrs. Knisley was a member at Sardis Baptist Church in Smithfield and enjoyed knitting, quilting, flowers, listening to music as well as playing it on the piano and spending time with her grandchildren.
