Raleigh – Carolyn Faye Depriest, age 81, passed away peacefully on Monday January 15, 2024 at Tower Nursing and Rehab in Raleigh. She was born in Cumberland County on October 17, 1942 to the late Randall Lassitter and Irene Honeycutt Lassiter. In addition to her father and mother, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Depriest; 8 brothers and sisters.

A memorial service will be held in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home on Thursday January 18, 2024 at 7:00 PM.

Carolyn is survived by her son, Randy Peedin of Raleigh; step daughter, Cynthia Depriest of Vienna, VA; brother, Eugene Lassitter of Raleigh; grandchildren, Megan Fulden of Durham, and Samantha Peedin of Garner; several nieces and nephews.
