Carolyn Annette Creech Bridges, 74, passed away peacefully at home Thursday, June 6, 2024 surround by her family.  Born May 14, 1950, in Johnston County, North Carolina to Jesse Creech and Bessie Blackmon Creech, she was the youngest of five and her brothers adored the only baby girl.  She grew up on the family farm where she enjoyed reading and spending time with family.  As she grew older, she loved visiting the beach, listening to Motown music, and spending time with her grandchildren.  She never turned down a delicious cup of coffee and her lap was always open for the family fur babies, Jax and Lexie.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Lloyd Bridges, both parents, and brothers, Johnnie Earl Creech and Howard Creech.

The family will receive visitors, Sunday, June 9, 2024, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Parrish Funeral Home in Selma, NC. A funeral service will be held Monday, June 10, 2024, at 2:00 pm in the chapel at Parrish Funeral Home with Pastor Johnny DiCorte officiating.

Carolyn is survived by her daughter, Christie Abbott of Selma.  Her son, Shane Bridges (Sora) of Selma.  Grandchildren; Noah Abbott, Jessica Abbott, Rian Cooper (Kierra), Lauren and Levi Bridges.  Brothers Edwin Creech of Micro and Tom Creech (Dianne) of Raleigh.  Brother-in-law Perry Bridges of GA and Sisters-in-law; Nancy Creech of VA and Barbara Bridges of GA.   She is also survived by many loving nephews, nieces, great nieces and nephews and friends.
