Smithfield- Carlton Hardy Harrison, age 72, passed away at his home in Smithfield Wednesday September 23, 2020. He was born in Greene County on September 20, 1948 to the late Hardy "Shy" Harrison and Nancy Peacock Harrison. A funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home at 4 PM on Sunday September 27, 2020 with Brook Phillips officiating. Burial will follow funeral services at Sardis Baptist Church cemetery in Smithfield. Mr. Harrison is survived by wife of 51 years, Delores Blakeley Harrison of the home; Son, Kevin Harrison and wife Ella of Smithfield; Brothers, Chris Harrison and wife Judy, Gordon "Peanut" Harrison, Milton "Square" Harrison and wife Nancy; Sisters, Debbie Parsons and husband James, Tiny Phillips and husband Jeff; Grandson, Tyler Hardy Harrison; 9 nephews; 4 nieces; 5 great nephews; 1 great niece on the way. Mr. Harrison enjoyed playing golf, guitar, and was also an avid NC State fan.
