Brenda Powell Peedin was born on August 6, 1943 and passed away on Monday February 16, 2026. She is preceded in death by her mother Daphne Smith; brothers, Wilbur Powell and Luther Powell Jr.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday February 20, 2026 at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home.

Brenda is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Gerald Peedin; her children, Brooks Peedin and wife Lisa, Christy Peedin Pate and her husband Robin; and Shannon Peedin and his wife Amy.

Brenda also leaves behind to cherish her memory are her grandchildren, Allison Strickland and her husband Todd; Garrett Peedin, John Peedin and wife Destiny, Madison DeShane and her husband Edward, Ashlynn Hale and her husband Garrett, Carly Peedin and Chloe Peedin; great grandchildren, Braylen, Ryleigh and Landon Strickland, Leah DeShane, Christina Joy and David Hale; sisters Teresa Grice, Janet Kleinerdt and her husband Erskine, and a sister-in-law, Barbara Powell.

Mrs. Peedin was a faithful member of Pine Level Missionary Baptist Church as long as her health allowed. She served in many capacities including being a Sunday school teacher and a member of the choir.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to her caregivers, Jessica, Jada, Season, Kim, Adriana, and Alisa; as well as Dr. Renee Watson and the staff of Gentiva Hospice.
