Bobby Gene Wiggs, age 76, died Saturday morning, December 9, 2023, at his home in Selma.  Born April 25, 1947, in Wayne County to the late James Vernon and Elizabeth Godwin Wiggs, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Curtis Wiggs, brothers, Buck Wiggs and Jeffrey Wiggs and sisters, Vernell Adams and Elsie Beasley.  Bobby attended Selma High School and later worked at Wiggs Brothers Farms with his brothers, son and grandson until his health would not allow him to continue.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 11, 2023, in Selma Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Duane Evans officiating.

Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Peggy Johnson Wiggs; son, Bobby Dale Wiggs and wife Dawn of Selma; daughter, Regina Narron and husband Keith of Selma; brother, Charles Wiggs of Selma; sisters, Peggy Baker of Four Oaks, Mary Pleasants of Angier and Joyce Georgi of Goldsboro; three grandchildren, Zachary Narron, Ashley Narron and Anna Wiggs and three great-grandchildren, Daxton Wiggs, Haley Narron and Jackson Narron.
