Bobbie Killian Mooneyham, 94, from Smithfield, passed away on Monday, August 18, 2025, at Smithfield Manor Nursing and Rehab. Born March 26, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Winslow Burgess and Dovie McTaggart Burgess. In addition to her parents, Bobbie was preceded in death by her first husband, Horace Killian; second husband, Robert Mooneyham; son, Robert Killian; brothers, Arnold Burgess and Weldon Burgess; and sisters, Ruth Lankford, Sherry Seay, and Stella Stiles.

Bobbie was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Smithfield and the Lions Club in Smithfield. She was known locally as "The Cake Lady." She will be missed dearly by all who knew her. Bobbie is survived by her daughter, Glenda Dixon (Lee Dixon) of Morehead City; brother, Jerry Burgess (Becky) of Winston-Salem; sister, Kathy Clinton (Bob) of South Carolina; grandchildren, Brooks Dixon (Nickie) of Greenville and Brian Killian of Newton Grove; and great-grandchildren, Cole and Tripp Dixon and Merissa and Levi Killian.

Funeral service will take place Saturday, August 23, 2025, at 2:00pm in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home. The family will receive visitors one-hour prior to the service, beginning at 1:00pm. Flowers are appreciated or memorial contributions can be made to the Smithfield Lions Club, c/o President Sonya Wilson, 59 Blue Spruce Circle, Clayton, NC 27527.
