Princeton – Billy Franklin Odom, age 87, passed away Monday December 18, 2023 at Smithfield Manor Nursing and Rehab. He was born in Johnston County on January 23, 1936 to the late Charlie Odom and Virginia Faucett Odom. In addition to his father and mother he is also preceded in death by his wife, Eloise Crocker Odom and a son, Michael Byrd.

The family will receive visitors in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home on Friday December 22, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. A funeral service will follow the visitation on Friday at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow the service in Crocker cemetery.

Mr. Odom is survived by daughters, Lori Sheppard of Smithfield, Penny Rocca of North Attleboro, MA; sons, Steven Byrd of Selma, Tony Byrd of North Myrtle Beach, SC; grandchildren, Amanda Gail Byrd of Pikeville, Christin Byrd of Raleigh, Jordan Byrd of Greenville, Adam Chicoine of North Attleboro, MA, Jenna Chicoine of North Attleboro, MA, Sarah Byrd-LoFrese of Simsbury, CT; great grandchildren, Abigal Bloyer of Pikeville, Levi Bloyer of Pikeville, Evertte Herring of Raleigh, Colby Chase of Simsbury , CT, Norah Byrd-LoFrese of Simsbury, CT and Elias Byrd-LoFrese of Simsbury, CT; sister, Doris Hoskins of Moorfield, WV.
